Create Indexable Pages From Faceted Navigation

A huge SEO opportunity is to create indexable pages from faceted navigation, which is used when applying filters while shopping online.

Without these pages, general categories that you begin sorting from are often too broad to rank, at least for long-tailed queries, in the search engines.

For example, a Men’s Linen Shirts page may not rank for Men’s RED Linen Shirts. A separate page allows you to add Red for on-page SEO factors like the title tag.

Like all SEO, there’s a balancing act… don’t be extreme. Too broad hurts relevancy. Too focused means duplicate content, link equity dilution, & poor UX.

In general, brainstorming how to classify your product or service, then creating a page for each category, is a great way to generate more organic traffic.
